1. Winterfest Kickoff

The Winterfest celebrations kicks off in November at Patriot Park with everything from games and entertainment, to free trolley tours of lights! The stage entertainment begins shortly after with great live performances from the Pigeon Forge Community Chorus, Boogertown Gap, Hills-n-Hollows, and the Lost Mill String Band. Finally, guests can enjoy a complimentary trolley tour of the city’s Christmas lights.

2. Thanksgiving Fireworks at the Titanic Museum

End your Thanksgiving celebration with a bang as the Titanic Museum hosts the largest fireworks event of the year on the Pigeon Forge Parkway! This exciting event on Thanksgiving night pays tribute to the lives of the Titanic’s crew, passengers, and rescuers. Come out to the Titanic Museum on Thanksgiving evening to watch the night sky explode into an incredible display of colorful lights.

3. Driving Tour of Lights

The city of Pigeon Forge has over five million Christmas lights! The best way to see all of the beautiful displays is with the self guided Driving Tour of Lights. Just swing by the Pigeon Forge Welcome Center or the Pigeon Forge Trolley office to pick up a free map detailing where all of the lights are located. For the ultimate holiday experience, put on some Christmas music while you drive around and admire the lights!

4. Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood

Another wonderful way to celebrate Pigeon Forge Winterfest is to head over to Dollywood for their popular Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival. This amazing event features four million Christmas lights as well as incredible holiday performances, including Dollywood’s A Christmas Carol, Christmas with the Kingdom Heirs, and O’ Holy Night. Kids will enjoy the opportunity to meet Rudolph and his friends, as well as the chance to visit Santa’s Workshop. The Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival at Dollywood runs from early November 7 until early January.

5. Saddle Up

Finally, vacationers can celebrate the American West at the Saddle Up event at several locations in Pigeon Forge in February. This is the perfect event to let out your inner cowboy as you enjoy fun activities like chuck wagon cookoffs, workshops, seminars, cowboy dances, and much more. In addition, several intimate dinner concerts are held with live entertainment from great performers like Wylie & The Wild West, Brenn Hill, and Andy Nelson. The events takes place rain, snow, or shine, so come on out to participate in this exciting Winterfest activity!
