When and Where

The Dolly Parade is scheduled for Friday May 2, 2014. The festivities will kick off around 6 p.m., but it’s a good idea to come early because this event gets crowded very quickly!

Dolly and her friends will parade along the famous Pigeon Forge Parkway. The route begins at Traffic Light #7, near Old Mill Avenue. The parade continues northbound towards Sevierville to Traffic Light #3, near The Track.

As always, the Dolly Parade is completely free to attend!

What to Expect

The Dolly Parade never disappoints, and each year it gets bigger and better! You can expect to see beautifully decorated parade floats, skilled baton twirlers, professional marching bands, horses, and more. Entertainers from a variety of local shows and attractions will also be part of the mix, so be sure to keep an eye out for your favorite local celebrities.

Of course the highlight of the parade is the grand marshall, Ms. Dolly Parton! From atop the grandest float of them all, Dolly will be waving to her fans and sending her love to everyone visiting the Smokies.

See Dolly at Dollywood

When Dolly comes to town, she always makes an appearance or two at her famous theme park! Just before the parade on May 2nd, Ms. Parton will spend some time at Dollywood. Seeing Dolly at her theme park on Friday, and then going to the Dolly Parade on the Parkway is a dream come true for the Queen of Country’s biggest fans.

Can’t make it on Friday? Don’t worry, because Dolly is scheduled to make a tour of Dollywood on Saturday! As long as the weather is nice, Dolly will ride around the theme park in a horse drawn carriage. The parade typically starts near the carousel, which is close to the boarding area for the Dollywood train.
