Great for a family with lots of kids. – 4/23/2019
We have 8 people total in our family and 6 children range from age 4 up to 14. It was a perfect cabin for us. We have stayed in a few cabins in Pigeon Forge over the past several years and this is definitely one of the best so far. Our second time renting through Aunt Bugs and both times have been awesome service from everyone involved!!
shades of past – 2/19/2019
Our cabin was very clean and spacious. I like the fact that it had 3 full bathrooms. There was only 4 of us but there was a futon and full bathroom in the pool room if you wanted 6 people to stay. There was not major to complain aboutbut a few minor things like how thin the walls were (you could hear every little noise), I would have liked to have seen newer dvd players 2 out of the 3 did not work, and new pool sticks all but one were missing the tips. But Honestly I would rent the same cabin again I loved the setup and the privacy we had while in the hot tub.
Perfect location – Hollie D. 3/12/2019
Overall our stay was enjoyable. The cabin was clean, the kitchen provided plenty for us to be able to cook, the hot tub was great and the location was perfect!! A few down sides included the mold on the ceiling and some walls where it looked like water had leaked in. Also, the futon was broken and we were unable to open it to use it as a bed.

Shades of the Past! – Brenda A. 7/24/2017
Great Cabin. The picture does not do it justice. This cabin was nestled in the mountains. Walk into the front door into living room and kitchen together. Fun decorations. Jacuzzi in master, walk downstairs to the two rooms downstairs with a game room. Rooms are spacious and nicely kept. Great cabin, would def. recommend and stay again. Two porches for looking out. Hot tub on second floor. A bit of a distance from the pool but we didn't have time for it anyway.
Pure Heaven! – 2/21/2018
This is the first time my husband and I have rented a cabin. All I can say is we will never rent a hotel room in pigeon forge again! This cabin is absolutely perfect! We are already planning another trip just so we can stay in the shades of the past cabin again!! The checking in and out experience was flawless and easy! I highly recommend Aunt Bugs and The Shades of the Past cabin!!

The house was nice and everything was in working order. We had issues with the layout wasn't very good. The door at the top of the steps opened in front of the door to the 1st floor bedroom door. At the foot of the steps there was a landing with a door on each side into the two downstairs rooms. These doors both opened out onto the landing and into each other. There were only 3 chairs for the kitchen table. We had to bring a plastic chair in from the deck to have 4 chairs. Also, the pool table had been an old coin operated table that had been modified and the coin receiver had been removed. Now when any ball goes into a pocket it is routed to the hole where just the queue ball is designed for making it so you often had to remove several balls to get a certain ball out. It also had a mixture of pool balls with several missing and several duplicate balls which made it hard to play a proper pool game. A set of pool balls if fairly cheap! I would recommend this property but I would make sure they knew my concerns.

great, no hassle , friendly, clean cabin, cabin was ready before check in time witch was great traveling with little ones.
– Wayne Prescott Sr. 5/9/2019
It was pretty much okay, but those carpenter bees took a lot of porch time out of it. We pretty much had to stay inside or the backside. Also the room that the pool table was in was way too small, only had one side you could shoot the cue ball from. And the out door grill wasn't any good.

Our original reservation was in Gatlinburg. After the wildfires, the staff was gracious to switch us to a cabin in Pigeon Forge ; allowing my wife and I to keep our anniversary trip to the Smokies.
