1. A Mountain Quiltfest

Quilters will have a blast at this special event in March! A Mountain Quiltfest features quilting classes for every ability, a quilting competition, and a variety of great prizes. Whether you are the Queen of Quilting or you can barely thread a needle, Quiltfest has something for you to enjoy.

2. Spring Rod RunA hot rod at a car show.

The Spring Rod Run is one of the most popular events in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in spring. This huge car show brings thousands of visitors to the Smokies for three days of hot rod fueled fun. If you own a classic vehicle or you’re a fan of muscle cars, you’ll have a great time ogling all of the beautiful hot rods at this show.

3. Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage

The Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage is a highlight of the year for nature lovers. Visitors can take advantage of over 150 classes and events in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and at the Mills Conference Center that celebrate spring in the Smokies. Popular programs include guided wildflower hikes, photography classes, natural history lessons, and so much more.

4. Easter Sunrise at Ober Gatlinburg

If you’re looking for a memorable way to celebrate Easter in the Smoky Mountains, we recommend attending the special Easter Sunrise Service at Ober Gatlinburg. On Easter Sunday, the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway will provide free transportation to the top of Mt. Harrison for an uplifting worship service timed with the sun rising over the Smokies. After this breathtaking service, a holiday breakfast buffet will be available at the Seasons of Ober Restaurant.

5. Wilderness Wildlife Week

Wilderness Wildlife Week is a Pigeon Forge tradition! This great event in May consists of free seminars and workshops that are open to anyone and everyone. Guests can enjoy guided hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a number of excellent classes at the LeConte Center.

Downtown Gatlinburg will host the annual Beans and Cornbread Festival in May, and we suggest that you come hungry! Local chefs will prepare their best beans and cornbread recipes and compete for the popular vote in a fun cook-off. In addition to all of the delicious food there will also be some great live music to enjoy.
