1. Great Smoky Easter Arts and Crafts Show

One of the true signs of spring is the return of the annual Great Smoky Easter Arts and Crafts Show that is presented by the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community. The show is a unique opportunity to step back in time to watch more than 100 artists and crafters as they produce their wares by hand! While visiting with members of the Arts and Crafts Community, you will have the chance to see woodcarving, candle making, pottery, art galleries and plenty of other fine art forms. This free craft show is held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center in downtown Gatlinburg and is scheduled for the days leading up to Easter.

Another one of the popular spring events in Gatlinburg TN is the Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament, a fun fishing tournament where over $10,000 in cash and prizes are up for grabs! This event is open to anyone who wants to participate, so remember to bring your fishing gear with you while on vacation! The Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament takes place in early April along the west prong of the Little Pigeon River from the National Park boundary in Gatlinburg, downstream to the Sevierville City Park bridge, and along its tributaries of Roaring Fork, LeConte Creek and Dudley Creek.

3. Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage

Celebrate the arrival of the region’s gorgeous wildflowers with the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park! This annual event is scheduled for late April and features professionally guided walks that explore the area’s rich natural and cultural resources. You can register for a variety of programs on topics such as fungi, medicinal plants, art and photography, park history and, of course, wildflowers! Most of the programs are conducted on the trails within the park, while evening presentations take place in the Mills Conference Center.
